Volunteer Vacations

Volunteer Match matches your interests and schedule with a cause close to your heart. There's something for everyone from walk-a-thons to beach clean-ups and home building.

A Volunteer Vacation is the perfect opportunity to whip your mind, your body, and some trail miles into shape.  Volunteer Vacations allow ample time to enjoy the landscape on your own. Some trips even include a short hike after the work is done, or a break for day hikes, swimming or just enjoying the views. Generally, no previous experience is required. The variety of tasks accommodates most levels of skill and stamina. Some trips are geared towards women, youth or designed with a special educational focus. Trips are only $60.00 per person! You provide your own round-trip transportation.

American Hiking Society's 2001 schedule includes over 70 one- and two-week trips. You can also find information about 1/2 and full day activities that you may want to incorporate into your vacation plans.
