 Ranch-Style Beans

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly oil a 1-quart casserole dish.

Heat 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil over medium high heat. Saute 1 cup stewed tomatoes, with liquid and 1/4 cup chopped onion, about 3 to 5 minutes.

Stir in 1/2 cup unrefined sugar, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1 and 1/2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar, 3 cups fat-free baked beans, and 3/4 cup canned red kidney beans; cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

Spoon beans into prepared casserole and bake in preheated oven 15 to 20 minutes, until bubbly.
