I love my Starbucks, but whatever your favorite drink stop is, this tip will work for you as well. When finished with my drink I stash the cup in my tote bag and when I get home I rinse it out along with the lid and straw to reuse at least one more time. If I’m drinking something without perishable ingredients such as soy or dairy milk, maybe an iced tea or soda then I’ll reuse the cup twice before tossing it.

Crafts & Projects

Store paint brushes in plastic cups.
Use plastic cups to hold water for water-based painting.
Use plastic cups to clean brushes with paint thinner.

Start A Garden

Use a clear plastic cup to plant a terrarium.
Use a opaque plastic or paper cup to start seedlings.

Note: fast food cups are not recyclable.
